How a Hair Dryer Works

The blower directly drives the rotor to drive the fan blade to rotate. When the fan blade rotates, the air is inhaled from the air inlet, and the centrifugal airflow formed by this is blown out from the front nozzle of the fan cylinder. When the air passes through, if the heating wire on the heating bracket installed in the air nozzle has been energized and heated, the hot air will be blown; if the selection switch does not make the heating wire energized and heated, the cold air will be blown. The hair dryer is here to achieve the purpose of drying and shaping.
The selector switch on the handle of the hair dryer is generally divided into three gears, namely the off gear, the cold air gear, and the hot air gear, and there are signs in white, blue and red. Some hair dryers are also equipped with a motor speed control switch on the handle, which is used to select the size of the air volume and the temperature of the hot air. All kinds of hair dryers are equipped with a rotatable circular air-adjusting cover behind or on the side of the shell. By rotating the cover to adjust the cross-sectional size of the air inlet, you can adjust the conveyed wind speed and the temperature of the hot air.
According to the way of use, there are handheld and stand hair dryers. The stand-type hair dryer can be placed on the table or hung on the wall, so you can dry yourself.
According to the air supply method, there are centrifugal blowers and axial blowers. The centrifugal type relies on the motor to drive the fan blades to rotate, so that the air entering the blower obtains inertial centrifugal force and continuously exhausts the air. Its disadvantage is that the exhausted air does not all flow through the motor, and the motor heats up higher; the advantage is lower noise.
The axial flow motor drives the fan blades to rotate, pushes the air entering the blower to flow axially, and continuously exhausts the air. Its advantage is that all the exhausted air flows through the motor, the motor has good cooling conditions, and the insulation is not easy to age; its disadvantage is that it is noisy.
According to the material used in the shell, there are metal type hair dryers and plastic type hair dryers. Metal type hair dryers are durable and can withstand higher temperatures. Plastic hair dryers are light in weight and have good insulation properties, but are prone to aging and have poor high temperature resistance.
